Rep. Neil Riser

Louisiana STATE Representative District 20

Louisiana State Representative Neil Riser proudly serves District 20 in Louisiana. He is President and Owner of the Riser Funeral Home (in Caldwell & Lasalle Parishes), currently serves as a Board Member for Caldwell Bank and Trust and was Past President of the Pelican State Life Insurance Company. He is an avid outdoorsman with two children, Emilie and Allison, (both married), and three grandchildren.

Rep. Riser serves on the Southern States Energy Board, the Energy Council, the Republican State Central Committee, and the republican legislative delegation. Riser previously served as State Senator, District 32 from 2008-2012, was elected without opposition in 2012-2016, and again elected without opposition in 2016-2020.

He was elected as state representative for District 20 in 2020-2024 and re-elected for the 2024-2028 term. As Representative, he sits on the House Committee on Natural Resources and Environment, the House committee on Commerce, and the House Select Committee on Homeland Security.

He is a graduate of Northeast La. University with a B.A. in Business Management (1984) and graduate of Caldwell Parish High School (1980).
